Lukashenko signed a decree lifting the pension size restrictions for working pensioners

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 402 "On Social Support" on October 29, the press service of the Belarusian leader reported to BELTA in the press service.

The document was adopted to strengthen social support for certain categories of citizens.

In particular, it is provided for the cancellation of the limit on the pension amount for working pensioners, which will allow to increase the effectiveness of using the labor market of persons of pension age.

It is established further reduction of the insurance period from 10 to 5 years for mothers who have given birth to and raised 4 or more children.

Additional guarantees for the appointment of early pension (5 years earlier) will receive fathers of disabled children, who are raising and caring for the child without the participation of the mother.

For disabled children, an increase in the pension received in connection with the death of one of the parents is provided. The amount of such increase will depend on the degree of loss of health of the child. Thus, taking into account the received pension, the child will actually be compensated for the income that he could have received during the life of the parent.

The decree also simplifies the procedure for collecting documents on earnings for the calculation of the pension, optimizes the terms for submitting an application for the appointment of the pension.

In addition, for certain categories of citizens (with disabilities, living with a disabled person of group I or caring for a disabled child), the right to receive a pension through a post office is preserved. This opportunity is also provided to all pensioners in case of payment for this service at their own expense (according to the tariffs for the cost of postal services for the delivery of pensions at the expense of the extrabudgetary fund of social protection of the population).

The main provisions of the decree enter into force from January 1, 2025.
