Lukashenko: Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping is awaited with a visit to Belarus

Belarus is awaiting a visit from Chinese President Xi Jinping. This was stated by Head of State Alexander Lukashenko while accepting credentials of ambassadors of foreign countries on October 1 at the Independence Palace, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The President noted that October 1 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. "Taking this opportunity, I would like, Mr. Ambassador, on behalf of the Chinese people, to congratulate you on your great national holiday. This is also our holiday," said Alexander Lukashenko. "It is very significant for us that you present your credentials on this day."

Lukashenko: There are no unfriendly peoples or secondary countries for us

The Head of State emphasized that China has always been and remains a key, reliable, and unique trade, economic, and political partner for Belarus. "An unprecedentedly high level of trust-based cooperation has been achieved between Minsk and Beijing," the Belarusian leader stated. He noted that amid global political tensions, Belarus and China have elevated bilateral relations to the level of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership. Despite crisis processes in the global economy, the parties achieved a new record in trade turnover by the end of last year.

"I would like to express my special gratitude for the constructive approach to cooperation to my dear friend, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. Please convey my warm wishes that we are looking forward to welcoming him on a visit to Belarus at a time convenient for him," Alexander Lukashenko said.
