Lukashenko warned the government: there can be no more talk about accounts receivable

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed the government and the National Bank to resolve the issue of accounts receivable, primarily concerning Belarusian potash fertilizers.

Head of State stated this on October 3 at a meeting on the export of Belarusian goods, BELTA reports.

"Regarding the potash market, I would also like to hear what the situation is, especially concerning accounts receivable. Primarily regarding the supply of mineral fertilizers and potash fertilizers, in particular," - said Alexander Lukashenko.

In Belarus, in addition to potash fertilizers, nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers are also produced. In this regard, the Head of State recalled that there had previously been proposals to create a single company responsible for their marketing. However, this topic did not develop further.

"Thus, the idea drowned in the government. Something always hinders us. Maybe not only you, but someone else as well. We need to move forward, not stand still, especially in organizing sales," - emphasized the President. - "We have learned to produce everything, and in huge quantities that do not correspond to the size and economy of our republic. We know how to sell, but for some reason it is not desired, or other issues are hindering. Today will be the final discussion regarding the sale of our goods."

"Regarding accounts receivable, I said, - this is a matter of paramount importance. No excuses about payments not being made somewhere or anything else. We have more than a thousand (employees. - BELTA note) working in the National Bank and related structures. Therefore, let's work together with the government and start working if you can. On this topic, there should be no more talk," - stated the Head of State.
