Attention dog owners!

The State Inspectorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the city of Novopolotsk informs that the adjustment of legislation related to the dog tax has not been carried out either from January 1, 2026, or from July 1, 2026, and is not planned at the present time.

As before, the tax is paid only by dog owners by making tax payments simultaneously with the payment for housing and utility services.

The availability of information from veterinary clinics, shelters, pet hotels, neighbors, and other sources is not a basis for unconditional imposition of the tax on citizens in the absence of reliably confirmed facts of establishing the direct owner and grounds for paying the tax.

In the absence of a list of potentially dangerous dog breeds at present, the generally established rate of 14 rubles per quarter applies to such dogs, except for administrative-territorial units where rates have been reduced.
