The centralized exam and centralized testing have started in the Vitebsk region
Graduates of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and cadet schools took the first centralized exam this Monday.
The exam marathon began with subjects chosen by students. In the Vitebsk region, the Centralized Exam (CE) and the Unified State Exam (USE) were held simultaneously at four testing centers. For example, at the Vitebsk State Technological University, where a total of more than 2,400 applicants registered this year, Deputy Chair of the Organizing Committee Ekaterina Goncharova reported.
— The highest number of candidates is observed in subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, biology, and foreign languages, she explained. — In particular, about 240 people will take the mathematics exam, as it is required by many for admission.
Even an hour before the exam, classes accompanied by teachers actively approached the university buildings to present their documents and find the required classrooms without haste. Although it is difficult to avoid nervousness on such a day, almost all students were motivated for success.
— I am in a good mood, I will cope, I have been preparing for a whole year after all, said Polina Semyonova from Vitebsk Secondary School No. 31 named after V. Khoruzhaya. The girl was taking the chemistry exam. She plans to apply to the medical faculty of the medical university under a targeted training agreement.
— I am taking the mathematics exam, I am fairly confident in my abilities, shared Alexander Sochnyov from the Vitebsk Cadet School. — I prepared, attended elective classes, and reviewed my notes. I am going to the exam with a calm mind.
The cadet dreams of continuing his studies at the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School named after V. Margelov.
Vladimir Godyatskiy, Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Vitebsk Region, who heads the regional commission for monitoring the preparation and conduct of the admission campaign, emphasized:
— Students must rely solely on their knowledge and must not bring any means of information into the examination halls. Our controllers are working at every testing center. We inspected all examination halls the day before yesterday, so we are ready to ensure safe and fair examinations for students and applicants.
Vladimir Godyatskiy noted that medical workers, law enforcement agencies, and control commissions are also ready to ensure that the Centralized Testing (CT) and Centralized Examination (CE) proceed in a standard manner.
We are simultaneously conducting the Centralized Testing and the Centralized Examination, but through separate streams, he said. This year introduces a novelty: reserve days are provided for those who violate the rules and are expelled. However, such students will only be able to take the examinations for admission to colleges.
The Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Vitebsk Region admitted that he still remembers his own graduation exams, even though many years have passed since then:
— Of course, there were no such centralized events back then. We took exams quite simply: we came to school, wrote an essay, or drew tickets and answered. To be honest, I was not very nervous because I studied well, so everything was quite easy for me. I took my exams at Secondary School No. 30 on Gagarin Street.
It does not matter what grades the current graduates receive on the CE, because the most important exam lies ahead: how life turns out, Vladimir Godyatskiy believes.
— This, of course, is related to good academic performance, but it is more important to be confident, set goals for yourself, and achieve them, he clarified.
