More than 400 recruits of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland
The solemn ceremony took place in Victory Square with the extensive participation of relatives and loved ones of the newly minted paratroopers.
In addressing the servicemen and their parents, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, congratulated them on one of the most important events in every man's life.
– Today, the Guards continue the rich traditions and heroic past of their predecessors. We know many examples of conscientious fulfillment of military duty. History testifies to the courage, heroism, and patriotism of paratroopers, their loyalty to their Homeland, and their high professionalism. There is no doubt that the new recruits will contribute to ensuring the military security of our country, – emphasized Alexander Subbotin.
Speaking on behalf of the parents was Olga Kamovich, who described the event as a festive and emotional day for herself and her son.
– I am proud that my son is a paratrooper. I am grateful to the officers who helped my son adapt more quickly to the complex rules of army life, master the basics of combat training, and I see how he has matured over this month, – said Olga Kamovich, addressing all servicemen: – While serving in the army ranks, always remember that we love you and are waiting for you at home.
