Alexander Lukashenko approved the appointment of Alexey Geroyev as Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee
On September 26, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, reviewed personnel matters and gave his consent to the appointment of Alexey Mikhaylovich Geroev as Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and a member of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Alexey Mikhaylovich Geroev was born in 1983 in Vitebsk. He graduated from Polotsk State University with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering (2009) and from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in Economics and Enterprise Management in Industry (2014).
From 2003 to 2017, he advanced through his career from an engineer at a housing maintenance unit to Chief Engineer of the Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services Enterprise (UKPP "Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services"). From 2017 to 2018, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee.
From 2018 to 2020, he was First Deputy Head of the Oktyabrsky District Administration of Vitebsk City, and then, until 2023, he headed the Zheleznodorozhny District Administration of Vitebsk City.
From January to September 2023, he served as Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Since September 2023, he has been Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
