Alexander Subbotin met with the creative team of the reporting concert "Belarus - My Song"

“This was a grand event! It is a masterpiece! You have pleasantly surprised everyone. Once again, you loudly and brightly declared that the Vitebsk region is rich in talents. After such a spectacular show, one wants to proudly say: ‘I am from Vitebsk.’ I believe that no person left the hall indifferent,” emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, at a meeting with the creative team of the reporting concert “Belarus – My Song,” which took place on February 2 at the main stage of the country – the Palace of the Republic – to a full house.

The head of the region also noted that he is still receiving feedback about the performance of the Vitebsk participants and once again thanked everyone who took part in this event.

The Vitebsk region was the first to present its culture within the framework of the republican contest “Belarus – My Song” and set such a high standard that it will be difficult for other regions to surpass. The concert director, Merited Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and Deputy General Director for Special Projects of the Culture Center “Vitebsk,” Marina Romanovskaya, based the concept on the Vitebsk nativity play, recognized as a historical and cultural value of Belarus. The program was structured according to the laws of the theatrical genre, where each scene contributed to a complete performance created from bright dance, vocal, instrumental, and circus numbers. Members of the production team and artists shared with Alexander Subbotin how everything was organized, as well as their experiences and emotions during the event.

Gleb Lapitsky, General Director of the Culture Center “Vitebsk” (this institution was entrusted with the preparation and organization of the reporting concert), presented Alexander Subbotin with a photo collage of the Vitebsk participants’ performance at the Palace of the Republic as a souvenir.
